A manufacturer thrives financially during the war, but his success comes at a cost when his business associate takes the fall for wrongdoing and his boy disappears. With the war's end, he confronts the fallout from his decisions.

Stewart - ★★★★★

"A stunning production of the classic Arthur Miller play with outstanding performances from the entire cast. It's depiction of the American dream remains as relevant today as the current war heavily casts its shadow on modern day life.

The staging is well done and stylised which allows the focus to be on the relationships between the characters. Outstanding piece if a tough watch towards the end as it all comes tumbling down."

After delighting audiences across the country, and now with a Best Family Show Olivier Award nomination, the smash-hit, joyful play based on the best-selling novel is back with a celebration of friendship, kindness and compassion.

Georgie (Age 10) - ★★★★★

"It was funny but also really sad knowing his city was being bombed and people where unkind to him. I liked the set and I think loads of people would enjoy it too. Oh they bullies are not good at all. I didn't like that."

12th - 23rd May, King's Theatre, Glasgow

The High Life returns in a new musical spectacular featuring all four original cast members - Alan Cumming, Forbes Masson, Siobhan Redmond and Patrick Ryecart.

Olivia (Age 14) - ★★★★★

"Wow. The High Life is one of the most high production, funniest, best written show I've ever seen! The set was outstanding and the characters were immaculate.

I loved Miley and he actually had me fooled too! The plot twists were so gripping and the show was fun but also mysterious.

I loved the comedic references and the chaotic duo of Steve and Sebastian.

The singing was also out of this world it was so good, I loved Captain Duff's song and Shona's song the most! Captain Duff's song made me feel like I was in a movie or a video game and Shona's song was like something out of a movie the way she appeared out of the smoke.

All the characters and actors done an amazing job and the music orchestra I think in the back was outstanding too!

Please go see this show if you have the chance it was an amazing time."

12th May - 16th May, Inverness Eden Court - Part of UK Tour

Following two phenomenal years in London’s West End and a sensational first UK and Ireland tour, the “indisputably terrific” (The Times) Olivier Award-winning Best New Musical – Sunny Afternoon – is back!

Olivia (Age 14) - ★★★★★

"Sunny Afternoon The Kinks was an amazing show! I honestly don't know what I was expecting from it but it was outstanding.

They played my favorite song first! (You really got me) and it sounded amazing, it was like you were at a concert.

I really liked when Dave was swinging from the chandelier while singing and the fight.

I thought it was an amazing show and I definitely went home and added The Kinks to my playlist!

Some of the actors played multiple characters but you couldn't tell because they played each one so differently and amazingly.

And I thought it was so cool that they had a part in the end where people could stand up and sing, dance along it was just such a nice experience for everyone to sing, dance and clap along with them!"

Dimwitted Cuthbert Hope is enlisted in the army, and gets himself and his sergeant in constant trouble

Houston (Age 9) and Mum (reviewed at the Laurel & Hardy Double Bill) - ★★★★★

"Hippfest Laurel and Hardy...well, it was incredible. The live piano and percussion really set the scene in transporting you back in time.

There was a short explanation of the two films prior to the showing which explained how many films L&H did and when they hooked up with a Scotsman who starred in the film.

It was wonderful to hear the audience lol and all ages appreciating the experience.

Definitely worth it and would go again"

11th May - 16th May, Leeds Grand - Part of UK Tour

Following seven West End seasons, a record-breaking UK and Ireland tour and thirty productions across the globe, the stage phenomenon 2:22 A Ghost Story return for a UK tour.

Olivia (Age 14) - ★★★★★

"2:22 A ghost story was such an amazing show and definitely exceeded my expectations! The set was so cool and realistic and the clock was amazing how it went from scrambling the numbers to being still.

The actors were amazing and their take on the characters was so cool to watch, You definitely have to pay attention to everything as it all comes together in the end! I loved how they did the table scene but still can't figure it out.

This show had me on the edge of my seat the whole time and the plot twist was actually unguessable I really thought I had it figured out but it was jaw dropping when I realized what actually happened!

It was quite loud and there was a lot of jumpscares, I physically jumped everytime the combination of the screaming, glass breaking, clock scrambling and red lights was there. But a lot of people jumped out of their seats every time as you couldn't predict when it would happen, although it did make the show a lot more scary it was fun to be scared.

Please go see if you have the chance!"

8. The Constant Wife

Theatre

★★★★★

11th May - 16th May, Bathe Theatre Royal - Part of UK Tour

Prior to London's West End, witness this Royal Shakespeare Company production about a woman determined to do things her own way.

Olivia (Age 14) - ★★★★★

"The constant wife is an outstanding show preformed with such amazingness it's unbelievable! The RSC always have outstanding production but this was seriously awesome! I loved the plot twists and the hilarious jokes and the fact that she knew shook me as well.

The set was amazing, the way they had pretty much the whole show set in one room but made it so that when she was talking about her travels you felt like you were there too! And the way it looked like a real house and the shadows on the stairs were amazing.

The actors were the perfect choices for their roles it was amazing!

I loved the plot but was a little sad for Bernard as he clearly loved her but she definitely had the upper hand in getting what she wanted.

Amazing show would definitely watch again!"

Film - Cinema

★★★★

A visually dazzling space odyssey that's carried along effortlessly by the gravitational pull of Ryan Gosling at his most winning.

Stewart - ★★★★

"This initially comes across like a very realistic sci-fi movie with a plausible disaster on the horizon played out very well by the cast and filmmakers - Gosling is as likable as ever. However then we get to the alien buddy comedy element and the film just gets a little too cheesy. Still it's a lot of fun and when I did eventually buy into the concept it was a fine sci-fi adventure comedy."

10. The Ballad of Johnny and June

Theatre

★★★★

12th - 16th May - Wycombe Swan - Part of UK Tour

Step into the world of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash in this brand-new musical packed with iconic songs, irresistible chemistry and real heart.

Archie (Age 13) - ★★★★

"This musical was amazing. It’s about the story of the country musicians Johnny Cash, and June Carter, their love for each other , and their problematic life with Johnny Cash‘s drug addiction. Their story is told from the perspective of their son John Carter-Cash as the narrator. The performances were amazing, especially towards the end, all actors delivering emotional, and enthusiastic performances. The vocals are very accurate and sound just like Johnny and June.

The stage is also great. It’s designed to look like the backstage of a venue with a full live band and all the other actors also playing instruments throughout the show. The music is fantastic, with Walk The Line, Ring of Fire and I’ve Been Everywhere being especially good fast numbers, and Will The Circle Be Unbroken? when Johnny’s brother died was really moving."
