Superhero fantasy adventure starring Simu Liu and Tony Leung. As a teenager, Shang-Chi rejected his brutal crime-lord father, Xu Wenwu, and fled to the USA. Years later, this highly skilled young warrior has renamed himself "Shaun" and is laying low as a hotel valet... until Xu's men come dragging him back into his dangerous old life. "'Brilliant fight sequences in this film and it's one of the best in the MCU. Cast are fantastic with excellent actors like Tony Leung and Michelle Yeoh adding extra depth whilst Simu Liu gets a star-making lead and Awkwafina and Ben Kingsley provide the laughs. The whole final sequence looks amazing but can't help feel it would have looked even better if this was an animated film. Still, top-notch stuff - maybe my favourite MCU film!'"

American sitcom starring Joel McHale as lawyer Jeff, who's forced to attend the Greendale Community College, Colorado, after his degree is deemed invalid by the state bar association.

3. The Great British Bake Off

The bunting has been hung and the tent is up, which can only mean one thing - Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding are back to guide a fresh batch of amateur bakers through 10 weeks of challenges set by new judge Nigella Lawson and Bake Off veteran Paul Hollywood. As ever, it all begins with cake week, for which Nigella sets the contestants a stout cake signature, before they get artistic in the technical and serve up a self-portrait showstopper

Drama based on a true story, starring Michael B Jordan, Jamie Foxx and Brie Larson. In 1989 Alabama, young lawyer Bryan Stevenson and his legal partner Eva Ansley become involved in the case of a man on death row, Walter McMillian, who claims to have been wrongfully convicted. Bryan quickly discovers that the trial's key evidence was flimsy - but it seems no one wants to listen. From director of the Week, Destin Daniel Cretton.

Motor-racing drama based on a true story. In the early 1960s, automobile designer Carroll Shelby is enlisted by Ford Motors to build a car that will beat Ferrari in the annual Le Mans race. Shelby recruits hot-headed Brit Ken Miles as his test driver and the two commence work on a project that proves dangerously underfunded. Will all their efforts come undone during the gruelling 24-hour motoring marathon?

"This is an amazing film!
The acting is amazing especially Christian Bales performance as Ken Miles.
The story was great and the cinematography was perfect. The ending although sad was very impressive and well made. My favourite scene was when the Ford GT40 over took the Ferrari 330 P3.
Overall this was a perfect movie with a great story, soundtrack, writing, acting and cinematography.

6. Wonder Man

Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh embodies mythical goddess Guanyin in an action-packed comedy adapted from Gene Luen Yang's celebrated graphic novel. Brimming with fantasy and kung-fu sequences, American Born Chinese centres on socially awkward teenager Jin Wang (Ben Wang), who is desperate to fit in at school and solidify his place in the world. Foreign student Wei-Chen Sun (Jim Liu) gate-crashes Jin Wang's humdrum existence and unravels his plans to earn a coveted place on the football team. It transpires that the new arrival is the son of the Monkey King from Chinese legend and requires Jin Wang's help to locate the fabled Fourth Scroll. From director of the Week, Destin Daniel Cretton.

"A haunting, strange animated film with that wonderful track from Eluvium. It's super creepy and creates a mysterious world all of its own. With echoes of David Lynch it's inspired and one that I just want to explore again as we follow a man's journey to a strange hotel. Animation is fantastic as well. Perfection."
