Here's a quick run-down of everything else we've caught at the festival so far...
Anime-Zing Kids!
★★★★

Children's Shows (Interactive, Neurodiversity-Led)
Age 3+
12:30pm - Las Vegas at Laughing Horse @ City Cafe

"Quite a unique little experience for a children's show where the children get a little insight into what it's like to be a voice actor. Its well lead by the hosts who are very accomodating of all the children and control the chaos very well - junior's tooth fell out half way through the show whilst doing a game and caused a bit of a riot. It was fun for the kids to try out vocal work and the voice over of the anime was great fun. It might be worth considering having a variety of clips however to suit the audience attending - the clip was very female character focused for a room full of mostly boys."
Mix Up Junior (Age 7 ) - ★★★
"The best bit was when I was getting to hold the microphone and do the voices of the characters - rock and roll! And my tooth fell out."
Ben (Age 8 ) - ★★★★★
"I give it 10/10 and thought it was very interesting."
Comedy Club 4 Kids

Children's Shows (Comedy, Compilation)

"A perfect hour of laughs from the top comedians and performers at the festival who do a little set - just for the kids. Although of course the laughs are also provided for the adults as well. What's so great about the show is it's a different line-up every day. So go as many times as you can! The day we were there Ted Hill provided cheeky banter with the kids as the compere and introduced us to the downright hilarious chef played by Josh Glanc and the skilled clowning humour of Darryl J Carrington (we've already seen his show but because it's excellent we didn't mind seeing some more!).
Both boys were in hysterics throughout."
Ben (Age 8 ) - ★★★★★
"The chef was hilarious and the second guy looked like it was a little bit dangerous but was very good. A thousand stars."
Mix Up Junior (Age 7 ) - ★★★★★
"I didn't like it when the host said kids were stupid but the chef was very funny and made us laugh and I liked dancing with him and Darryl is brilliant - we saw his show!"

Sophie Garrad: A Period Drama
★★★★★

Comedy (Stand-Up, Storytelling)
Age 16+
18:50 - Ace Dome at Pleasance Dome - until 30th August
Sarah - ★★★★1/2
"A quick witted stand up hour filled with information about hormonal issues with woman and fertility, Sophie garrad commands the stage and has incredible chic will doing so. A must see."
Hater
★★★

Theatre (Dark Comedy, Artist(s) of Colour)
Age 12+
11:00 - The Penny at Gilded Balloon Patter House - until 31st August
Stewart - ★★★
"Here's a manic little twist on All About Eve with a modern day Chinese actress becoming obsessed to dangerous levels with another Chinese actress. Meanwhile a third character also gets twisted into the mix of this serpentine tale. It's a lot of fun and some of the dialogue within the script is of great quality. The performances are energetic, if a little broad, and I wonder if the material would perhaps benefit from the foot being taken off the gas a little to allow the script to breathe. Still a quality hour with a very unusual and enjoyable piece of theatre."
The Pieces by Aloft
★★★★★

Dance, Physical Theatre & Circus (Acrobatics, Circus)

"If you like building things and climbing things GO SEE THIS SHOW. There were too many cool things to pick favourite, but I especially loved that all the music was created using ladders. Like... how did they do that?"
Thea (Age 9 months) - ★★★★★

"So many things to touch and taste. The performers even let me touch their sparkly costumes, and I loved blowing raspberries on the glass tank. I too love having baths so I could really relate to the content of the show."
Mum Hazel - ★★★★★
"Starcatchers always nail it. They completely understand their target audience. Not only was this show a delight for the babies, it was also lovely and relaxing for the grown ups. To be in a space where babies are free to be babies and everything is safe for them to explore makes my job so much easier. The drop in and out nature of the show was a gorgeous concept that took away the pressure of needing to rush out the house. Something that is not an easy task with a baby. I am forever greatful to Starcatchers and the work they do!"
