How do our bodies navigate a world in which boundaries and rules are constantly changing? Are there ways of finding closeness even in moments of separation? Could distance ever be seen and felt as a strength? A compelling tension between oneself and others underscores every moment of this captivating three-part quintet, beautifully brought to life by LEI Dance Theatre with Lao-French choreographer Olé Khamchanla. Intelligently blending traditional, contemporary and classical styles, it is an honest, imaginative and questioning dance about the way we live now.

"It was really good. I like the dancing, the scene, the lighting, I liked how it was all done. The show was funny, it was a nice story about being born to being grown up. The baby in the sack was making really funny movements. The music to the show I liked aswell. I would recommend it for other people to go see. Twain seasons shows are always soo soo good. I would go back and see it again it's that good.

"Amazing and wonderfully meditative!

I think proximities was an amazing show with very talented performers and dancers. I think the show was thought provoking, it made you think about humanity and how it is changing all the time and how we are forgetting to hug each other and interact with each other. It was quite cool to see some of the actions and moves that the dancers performed. Some bits of the show were quite funny and made me laugh though most of the show was quite serious. One of my favourite moments were when the performers all hugged at the end, another favourite moment was when the two men were struggling to get up from the floor and they kept falling down and doing the splits. it was really nice. The performers themselves were also really lovely and kind."
