"A perfect hour of laughs from the top comedians and performers at the festival who do a little set - just for the kids. Although of course the laughs are also provided for the adults as well. What's so great about the show is it's a different line-up every day. So go as many times as you can! The day we were there Ted Hill provided cheeky banter with the kids as the compere and introduced us to the downright hilarious chef played by Josh Glanc and the skilled clowning humour of Darryl J Carrington (we've already seen his show but because it's excellent we didn't mind seeing some more!).
Both boys were in hysterics throughout."

"I give it ten thousand stars, I love going to see this show. I love the acrobatics and everything they do. I think they will drop each other but they are good they don't thanfully, they are so strong I like the stage with the lights and the games they play when someone has to draw what they've to do. The drummer was good. I love when they do the tower and stand on each other. The stunts they do are sooo good. I love going to see them. Sad it's the last year of this show but can't wait to see what they do next year.
At the end I spoke the girl and she remembered me from 3 years ago when she done our workshop that was nice. EVERYONE needs to see this show."

"Fly you fools is a parody of the first lord of the rings film you will have to see the first Lord of the rings filmed to understand it but Some people I noticed had them but still enjoyed it. It had an intentionally very on a budget rubbish feel to it which made it so funny. They had mainly three people on stage so people constantly doubling up and making the environment and shapes of their bodies and at the beginning the new line cinema logo. There was a lot of mine involved with few props actually used and they have lots of sound effects that were being made live overall I thought it was very funny and I would definitely recommend."

"10 points! This is very funny and Tweedy kept losing his shoe and I didn't know how did that. It looked dangerous on the ladder but I laughed all the way through the show and I liked getting to go up on the stage as well. But didn't like the costume had to wear."

"Amazing and wonderfully meditative!
I think proximities was an amazing show with very talented performers and dancers. I think the show was thought provoking, it made you think about humanity and how it is changing all the time and how we are forgetting to hug each other and interact with each other. It was quite cool to see some of the actions and moves that the dancers performed. Some bits of the show were quite funny and made me laugh though most of the show was quite serious. One of my favourite moments were when the performers all hugged at the end, another favourite moment was when the two men were struggling to get up from the floor and they kept falling down and doing the splits. it was really nice. The performers themselves were also really lovely and kind."

Hotly-tipped young choreographer Lai Yun-Chi (formerly a dancer with Shechter II and a member of Humanhood) is keen to uncover what lies beneath our layered personalities – the roles we play, the identities we choose, the faces we wear. Drawing upon ceremonial folk rituals, a battery of cross-cultural movement styles and practices and a family history of leathercraft, she and her company Mailantia present the UK premiere of a bold, intricate and brand-new steampunk-influenced quartet about concealment and transformation. Expect a unique and original mix of East-West sensibilities.

"Energetic and fresh!
I think Under Mask was a great show, it was very energetic and even a bit dizzying because sometimes the dancers limbs were moving so fast that couldn't see them anymore. I really liked the masks the dancers wore when they were dancing. One of my favourite moments of the show was when one of the dancers to two feathers and put them in her hair so they looked a bit like a moths antennae. Though sometimes the music was a bit too loud I liked the way the music shifted and changed every few minutes. Overall I think Under Mask is a good show and the dancers are really nice people."

"‘Flop’ is a one-man show that rescues the best songs from the worst musicals or shows that flopped. Some songs were from very unknown shows like Moby Dick, King Kong, or Diana (as in Princess Diana) which were hilariously bad. Other songs were well known standards that just happened to be from bad shows, musicals that flopped at first but got more successful over time, or were really successful but then failed at the box-office (Cats!).
Arthur is a really good performer, a talented piano player with a great voice covering lots of different styles. The staging is very simple with clever use of props, running jokes, and audience participation. His enthusiasm for the music and effort that goes into making musical theatre is clear and infectious, and it was interesting to hear some of the stories behind the failed shows. Would totally recommend!"

"This show is about a man who gets pulled over at an airport for having shady things in his many suitcases. While he is having them checked, he opens them up and uses what’s inside to tell stories. I really enjoyed this show. It uses unique storytelling with a different tone and feel to each story. Most of the time he used just his hands. In others he used light and puppets. I was very engrossed in all the stories and they kept me engaged and entertained. Overall I felt this was a very good show."

But she’s not really sure what she’s going to say, or how she’s going to say it. "A wonderful homage to the family holiday classic movie, Home Alone. The film itself is a comedy so doesn't instantly feel the right fit for a somewhat loving homage parody which is what Recent Cutbacks do so well with their other shows, Fly, You Fools and Hold on to Your Butts. So a lot of the laughs do actually come from lines from the film - just said by a talking donught or a sock.
Yup this is the puppetry remake and it's the skills of the work on show here that really appeals - there's so many different styles of puppety used within the show that it's exciting just to see what's going to be used next. There's also great use of a blue screen to integrate the actors into the show and the live accapella music and song is an added bonus.
The Kevin puppet is a brilliant creation also and there's a hilarious joke about the stairs at the Pleasance's forth building that had the whole audience in hysterics, so this is one to definitely try catch at the fringe this year especially if the film is a firm family favourite at Christmas time. One request would be to have some sort of acknowldgement of the passing of the brilliant actress Catherine O'Hara who passed away earlier this year - her performance in the film is iconic, and there's no way of saying the title of this show without hearing her voice in your head.
We had a group of 25 kids along to see the show last week and they were all engrossed throughout so from Mix Up, this one is a must-see!"

"I really liked the way that all the actors were always on stage and had all their props within their outfit. Another thing that I found really cool about this show is that they had someone using instruments to create sound effects. I loved the storyline of the police officers trying to uncover what was under the word redacted. Although, at points it was hard to understand I really enjoyed nonetheless."
