Tongue Twister is one man’s attempt to say tongue twisters in as many different languages as possible. Whilst also trying to dance. And make music. And do all the costume changes without leaving the stage.
A delight for the eyes and ears, created and performed by award-winning performance artist and musician Greg Sinclair, and featuring dazzling costumes and innovative visual design. Humorous, colourful, rhythmical and odd, Tongue Twister is a celebration of the musical beauty of language.
Greg said: “I love how tongue twisters are a mix of musicality, silliness, and wordplay. And I like how you're not really supposed to be good at them, it's a positive message in this age of everyone striving to be perfect all the time. It's even harder when all the tongue twisters are in different languages! I've always loved languages. On the day of the Brexit referendum result, I was on holiday in Croatia surrounded by Europeans hopping easily between multiple languages. I felt such a strong sense of shame at the result so I decided to channel my feelings into my art. The show is a way for me to make connections throughout my communities and internationally by showing that I'm listening."

"A wacky, funky show with some amazing costumes and Sinclair makes for a likeable host who travels through tongue twisters from all over the world. It is maybe a little highbrow - my son didn't really take to the show. So maybe one to be appreciated more than loved, but a nice treat to start the weekend at the Imaginate festival."
