It’s Reid Aitken’s first day of high school and he just wants to vanish. When an embarrassing incident spirals into a legend known only as “The Creeping Snake,” Reid finds himself at the centre of the cruellest joke in school.
Suddenly, the question isn’t how to disappear – it’s how to survive, and who will stand beside you when everything feels impossible.
Fast-paced, funny, and painfully true, Cringe is a story about surviving the minefield of growing up, standing up to bullies, and finding the friend who makes you braver than you ever thought you could be.

"Cringe was a very funny story with 3 talented actors.
The message at the end about turning weakness into courage was very moving.
DEFINITELY NOT FOR UNDER 10’s
Overall one of best shows I’ve ever seen."

"It was so hilarious, we chuckled, id like to watch it again. Some of it was bit cheeky and the words they used. I asked my mum what some of it meant. I liked the story behind it and that it was set in a high school. I don't like bullies either. Some of it was really sad but mostly funny. I can't believe stuff like this happen at high school people can be horrible. The funniest part was the "snake" it was a bit rude but really funny. I think all children P6, P7 and high school should see it to get an idea of High school or just to laugh at the show. It's a must go see. It was also kind of them to give us badges at the end too. I really enjoyed it."
