Winner of Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year exhibits at Fire Station Creative

Multi award winning artist Elisha Enfield will exhibit her latest works at Dunfermline’s cultural hub Fire Station Creative. Her work delves into the layered histories of human rituals, examining the shifting boundaries between absence and presence. Drawing from stories of fire and funerary rites, her paintings explore the macabre beauty of shared practices that traverse joy, reverence, and loss. Enfield studied painting at the University of Brighton, graduating in 2011. Recent achievements include selection for the BEEP Painting Biennial, John Ruskin Prize, and ING Discerning Eye, where she has received both the Landscape and Midlands Prizes. Winner of Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2022, her work is held in public and private collections worldwide.

"Mix Up Junior and I had a wonderful visit to this year's Outwith Fetsival's exhibitions.

First up Marcus Oakley's quirky and stylish pieces make for a bright, fun exhibition to get lost within in the space at Abbott House. Junior met the artist for a chat and asked him to paint some fire engines for the next exhibition - so there's the challenge.

Then we visited the actual fire station creative - no fire engines, but plenty of fires in this enigmatic, mysterious and atmospheric exhibition. A great place to host the exhibition and one to revisit to get lost in the hypnotic imagery of flames, finely crafted and detailed within Enfield's artwork."
