Equal parts hilarious and heart-breaking, Matt Anderson’s Shotgunned is a relatable and intimate piece of theatre about how the people we lose can shape who we become.
Telling the story of Dylan and Roz – a couple who unexpectedly fall out of love – Shotgunned takes the audience on a non-linear journey through their relationship in a collection of fragmented scenes, like photographs in a shoebox or memories of a bygone age.
Shotgunned is a poignant and humorous reflection on the messy and the beautiful in relationships, and how we can come up against a dead end, no matter how much we care for each other.

"Shotgunned by Matt Anderson displays a true depiction of modern-day young relationships, as well as dealing with the sensitive topic of pregnancy loss in a stunningly tragic and accurate way. Both cast members complement each other just as well as the writing compliments them - giving dynamic and truthful performances. Catch it at this year's fringe!"
Stewart (reviewed Edinburgh Fringe 2024) - ★★★★★
"An engrossing piece of theatre that details the highs and lows of a young couple. The pitch perfect script delves into a series of moments in a non-chronological order which must be quite a challenge for the two actors but the performances from both Fraser Allan Hogg and Lorna Panton could likely be contender for the finest piece of acting you'll see at the festival this year. With tragedy amongst the comedy this is a sensitively handled piece of theatre that has clearly been a labour of love, a lot of hard work from all involved has created quite frankly, a masterpiece."
