"I went to the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy, to see Mark Thompson’s Spectacular Science Show. It was definitely spectacular with colourful fire, amazing explosions, dazzling inventions, interesting facts and funny jokes.
Mark used objects like toilet paper, balloons and leaf blowers to explain how things work around me, like light and heavy air. My favourite experiment was when he made a moving blue fire, out of alcohol. Everyone was excited when Mark made a smoke cannon out of a dustbin and a shower curtain, to blow a cup off a volunteer’s head with a smoke ring! Mark explained science in an easy and fun way and it makes me want to try his experiments at home! I’m very sad that he exploded an innocent poor jelly baby in the name of science but I was thrilled to be able to try on his lab coat when I meet him after the show - I felt like I was a real scientist!"
