Agatha Christie's crime classic finds Hercule Poirot thrust into the search for a murderer on the river Nile.
Bitter rivals. Buried secrets. A love to die for.
On board a luxurious cruise under the heat of the Egyptian sun, a couple’s idyllic honeymoon is cut short by a brutal murder. As secrets that have been buried in the sands of time finally resurface, can the world-famous detective, Hercule Poirot, untangle the web of lies and solve another crime?
Following the sell-out tour of Murder on the Orient Express, the European premiere of this thrilling production reunites writer Ken Ludwig, director Lucy Bailey (Witness for the Prosecution) and Fiery Angel.
Starring as Poirot is Mark Hadfield (Belfast; Outlander; Wallander) who will be joined on stage by Glynis Barber (Dempsey and Makepeace; EastEnders) and Bob Barrett (Murder on the Orient Express; Holby City). This brand-new adaptation of the Agatha Christie classic is not to be missed.

"Death On the Nile is a thrilling adaption of Agatha ‘s novel of the same name. Set upon a barge travelling across the Nile, an affluent young lady on her honeymoon is found shot in her bed, and it is up to famed detective Hercule Poirot to solve the mystery. The actors are fantastic, truly embodying the fear and anger of their characters as they fear for their lives. The non-diegetic music truly helps immerse the audience into the play, as they emphasise with the characters and feel the rising tension through the music. The brilliantly designed, two-layer set allows for greater creativity with the positioning of the cast, preventing the usual crowding usually occurring in plays. The twist is masterfully executed, and the performances are truly spectacular, truly embodying the characters. Overall, Death on the Nile is a fantastic play that I would recommend to any fan of mirder mysteries!"
