Theatre REVIEW: Breathe- ★★★★★

Find the epic in the tiny from the perspective of an acorn. Join this extraordinary journey to discover the beats and rhythms of a wild woodland world. Uncover bizarre larger than life fungi, creaking tree roots, and thrumming underworlds. Follow a “Seedling” as they hatch from an acorn and go on a journey of discovery through the undergrowth of the busy forest floor.

Breathe explores the inner workings of trees, beautifully realised with a combination of stunning puppetry, breathtakingly detailed sets, and groundbreaking live camera work. Underscored through an unique blend of thumping drum & bass and live ethereal folk songs. This is a 2024 Off West End Award-Finalist that celebrates trees.

Mix Up Junior (Age 6) - ★★★★★

"I loved the music and the singing and the puppets. And I got to go on stage and see all the puppets at the end."

Stewart - ★★★★

"Lovely details in this puppet lead story using great visuals (a live camera on stage and various sized puppetry), fantastic music (including some excellent drum & bass) all performed by a very talented cast of three. The story itself may perhaps be a little slow for some - junior certainly was getting restless over the hour - but it's nice to have such a fine intricate look into nature and the life of an acorn with the assistance of the charming Seedling character."
