When you describe a character in words, you can build a picture using adjectives. These are describing words that show how a character might look or behave.

When you invent a character, it helps if you can picture them clearly. Think of a new character for our story. Close your eyes and imagine what they look like. Draw a picture of your new character and send in to us: maybe it's an Oompa Loompa or maybe it's a child or someone else?






The description of Willy Wonka's bright eyes reflects his lively personality. What part of your character's appearance could reflect their personality?
