Online - Live at Filmhouse, Edinburgh - Manipulate Arts Festival
Stewart - ★★★★
"A fantastic programme of animated shorts to accompany the Manipulate Arts festival that you can watch at home. The only issue is it's only available 48 hours, so didn't manage to get around to watching as many as I hoped."
Stewart - ★★★★★
"A haunting, strange animated film with that wonderful track from Eluvium. It's super creepy and creates a mysterious world all of its own. With echoes of David Lynch it's inspired and one that I just want to explore again as we follow a man's journey to a strange hotel. Animation is fantastic as well. Perfection."
The Harbourmaster (Havnesjefen) (2022)
Stewart - ★★★★
"A fun documentary short following a rather aggressive swan who becomes a bit of a notorious celebrity. It's filmed with a similar style to Creature Comforts in which the interviewees are animated - including as animals. Long live the harbourmaster he's such a likaeble grumpy character, so I fully support the open ending on his fate."
Les Betes (2024)
Stewart - ★★★★
"An impressive, creative stop-motion animation with a dark tale. A bit of an allegory on how humans treat and destroy nature. Does get a little gruesome when the comeuppance comes along. That rabbit is a little bit terrifying, they got what they deserve messing around with that guy I reckon. Nice final imagery though!"
