A group of five high schoolers unleash supernatural forces upon their town. Now, they must work together in order to save it.

It received mostly positive reviews from critics, who praised the story, visuals, cinematography, writing, acting and casting with a particular amount of praise going towards some of the monster designs and the darker, more serious tone, though there was some criticism for the pacing and some of the monster designs.

There's more teens in trouble and exceptional circumstances with special powers in the likes of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, How to Train Your Dragon, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Ratatouille and Frozen while there's plenty of monsters in the MCU entry, Thor: Ragnarok.
