Film REVIEW: The Greatest Showman (2017) - ★★★★★

Director: Michael Gracey

Writer: Jenny Bicks, Bill Condon

Stars: Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya.

Genre: Biography, Drama, Musical

Themes: Singing, Circus, Bearded Lady

Celebrates the birth of show business and tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation.

The film was praised for the performances, music, visuals, and production values, but was criticised for its artistic license. It has, however, developed a cult following through its message of empowerment and sense of escapism, in part thanks to the success of its soundtrack.
