MIX UP REVIEWS:

Sophie (Age 9) - ★★★★★

"I loved this movie because it was funny and took you on an adventure. My favourite character was Grover because he is half goat .It is very true to the book and was enjoyed by the whole family."

Jan (Age 11) - ★★★★1/2

"This movie was brilliant, I think it was nearly as good as the Percy Jackson books. My highlights of this movie are; Percy Vs the Minotaur, Percy Vs Medusa, Percy Vs the Lightning Thief (there is a big twist which I will not spoil) and Percy meeting Hades. The fighting scenes and the way the movie gets straight into the action are my favourite parts of the film. The only thing I did not like, was the difference between the movie and the book (I preferred the book). I would recommend this to anyone who loves marvel, DC or similar. Hopefully Percy Jackson and the sea of monsters will be just as good, if not better!"

Another fantasy epic book adaptation series with a similar vibe is the Harry Potter franchise. There's more friendly monsters and creatures to be found in Monsters, Inc. and How to Train Your Dragon. For more Greek mythology check out Disney's take on Hercules. For more friendship and quests there's the classics of Toy Story and Shrek. And you can also check out the sequel Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.
