Mix Up Theatre is a new theatre club aimed at evolving and nurturing children's imagination and developing their skills as performers and storytellers.
Our classes aims for each child:
develop drama skills
develop storytelling skills
playing new drama games
co-operation and team building
oh, and might as well say it again, have fun!
We will have regular one-off workshops from professional theatre companies and practitioners and the opportunity for discount tickets on performances.
Stewart's drama qualifications include a BA (Hons) degree in Performing Arts from Salford University, Manchester. As well as an HNC in Acting & Performance from The Space, Dundee.
Stewart currently works as a freelance theatre practitioner. As well as Mix 'n' Pick he regularly runs classes for children and young adults for a number of different companies all over Scotland including Scottish Youth Theatre, The Drama Studio and CELTS. He also runs workshops throughout the summer in Madrid for children learning the English language.
Stewart also works regularly as an actor and presenter and has many credits to his work in this field, including tours throughout Italy, Spain and the UK and with productions such as Grease, Robin Hood, Romeo & Juliet and Of Mice and Men.
Mix Up Theatre premiered their first performance in Madrid in November 2012 and has been running classes for children and young adults ever since.
During summer 2015, Mix Up Theatre had the privilege to be the Children's Entertainment providers for the Boxsmall Festival above Waverley Station in Edinburgh. Providing children's performances every day of the summer and hosting many visiting Fringe acts from countries all over the world.
All our staff have an updated CRB check. Head tutors will have vast experience of working with children and will be fully qualified within their field.
Mix Up Theatre has full public liability insurance and employers' liability cover.
